Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of Tewatohnhi’saktha and overseeing the management of Tewatohnhi’saktha’s business and affairs. The Board guides Tewatohnhi’saktha’s strategic direction, evaluates the performance of the Executive Director and approves and monitors Tewatohnhi’saktha’s business plan, operational plan, and financial results and is ultimately accountable to the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke. Board members must act honestly and in good faith, leaving aside personal interests to advance the public interest and the mandate of Tewatohnhi’saktha.
The Board of Directors will be composed of no less than seven individuals and no more than sixteen individuals representing the following constituents:
