Des Cultures Wind Farm

As announced at our open house event on August 18 and 19, construction of the Des Cultures Wind Farm will begin the first week of September. The work scheduled for this fall includes the construction of access roads, as well as excavation and pouring of the foundations for the six future turbines.  Visit http://projeteoliendescultures.com/en/ for regular construction updates.

Week of November 2, 2020
SAINT-MICHEL

Construction of the work area for installation of the met tower.
Installation of piles at turbine T4.
Installation of piles at turbine T5.
Steel rebar installation and pouring of concrete for piles at turbine T6.

SAINT-RÉMI

Installation of formwork for the foundation of turbine T1.
Concrete pour for the foundation of turbine T1.

Week of November 16, 2020
SAINT-MICHEL

Completion of access road of turbines T4, T5 and T6.
Installation of piles for the foundation of turbine T5.
Steel rebar installation and pouring of concrete for piles at turbines T4 and T6.
Installation of the concrete slab of the foundation of turbine T4 and installation of the anchor cage

SAINT-RÉMI
Pouring of concrete for the foundation of turbine T1 and removing of formwork.
Steel rebar installation for the foundation of turbines T2 and T3.

Week of November 23, 2020
SAINT-MICHEL

Installation of piles for the met tower.
Steel rebar installation for the foundation of turbine T4.
Steel rebar installation and pouring of concrete for piles for turbine T5 and for the met tower.
Installation of the concrete slab of the foundation of turbines T5 and T6.
Installation of the anchor cage of turbine T6 and of the steel rebar.

SAINT-RÉMI
Backfilling of the foundation of turbine T1 and completion of the work area.
Pouring of concrete for the foundation of turbine T2 and removing of formwork.
Steel rebar installation for the foundation of turbine T3 and formwork installation.

A brief overview of construction activities planned for the next two weeks in the municipalities of Saint-Michel and Saint-Rémi is provided below.

Week of June 7th, 2021

Work Description

SAINT-MICHEL

·        No work for the week

SAINT-RÉMI

·        Installation of equipment at the met mast

·        Cable installation at the substation’s control building and grounding

·        Excavation, cable installation and backfill of the collector system between T3 and the junction box and between                T2 and the met mast

·        Directional drilling for the installation of the collector system

Week of June 14th, 2021

Work Description

SAINT-MICHEL

·        Work at the entrance of the access road to the turbines

SAINT-RÉMI

·        Preparation of a turnaround area at T1, T2 and T3

·        Work at the crossroads of St-Paul street and road 221

·        Electrical work insinde the substation’s control building

·        Excavation, cable installation and backfill of the collector system between T2, the junction box and the substation           control building

·        Cable installation and backfill of the collector system between T2 and the met mast
