Katsistohkwí:io Jacco: New Interim Workforce Development Program Manager

Tewatohnhi’saktha would like to introduce the new Interim Workforce Development Program Manager, Katsistohkwí:io Jacco. She recently received her Master of Arts in Political Science and a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Nationhood from the University of Victoria. Katsistohkwí:io is very passionate about empowering Indigenous youth through creating culturally relevant programs and services.
In her position Katsistohkwí:io will oversee and administer the Kahnawake Summer Student Employment Program (KSSEP), Self-Employment Assistance Program (SEAP), and the Skills Link Program (SLP). She will also be responsible for overseeing Tota Ma’s Café, a Tewatohnhi’saktha social enterprise. Something you can look forward to from Katsistohkwí:io is the launch of a brand-new 4-year program coming this fall.
“I am really excited to be working at Tewatohnhi’saktha in the Workforce Development department. The WFD Team is all about empowering Kahnawa’kehró:non through offering access to educational and career development programming, which really aligns with my interests and values. I previously worked here as a summer student as a Tourism Development Assistant and as the Heads-Up Facilitator, and I absolutely loved the office environment and my experiences here, so I am happy to be back!” Said Jacco.
