Economic Recovery the focus of upcoming Kahnawà:ke Economic Summit Event

Tewatohnhi’saktha will be hosting a Virtual Economic Summit on Friday, November 5, 2021
from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. A total of $2 million dollars in NEW Economic Recovery funds are
expected to be available and Tewatohnhi’saktha is seeking input from the business
community as to how best to utilize these new funds.
This Summit will also feature topics such as accessing funding, services, and workforce needs
to help businesses recover and grow; identifying where Kahnawà:ke fits in the regional
economy and discussions on finding ways to strengthen our local business networks.
In considering the ongoing pandemic, the event will be held virtually with presenters and
participants connecting via the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. Businesses will be
encouraged to register with Tewatohnhi’saktha. Invitations will be forthcoming.
