Client Allowance Rates Increased

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kahnawà:ke (Seskéha/August 9, 2022) 
Tewatohnhi’saktha announces increases to monthly allowance by 3%, travel by 6% and child care by 8% rates for clients. Allowances are provided to full time vocational students and those taking part in our Self-Employment Assistance Program.

Effective August 2, 2022, individuals receiving financial support by Tewatohnhi’saktha will see the increases in the September allowance run, just in time for the back-to-school season.

“As the cost of food, gas and living expenses continue to rise, it is important that we provide additional financial support to help clients pursue their career goals.” said Angie Marquis, Director of Workforce Development.
