Tewatohnhi’saktha Announces New Board Leadership

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kahnawà:ke (Tsothóhrha/December 4, 2025) — At the Board of Directors meeting held December 2, 2025, members of the Board formally appointed new leadership to guide the Board into the coming term.

Peggy Mayo has been appointed Chairperson of the Board, succeeding Heather Bauersfeld, who previously served in the position. Thawennontie Thomas has been appointed Vice-Chairperson, succeeding Barbara McComber. The Board extends its sincere appreciation to Heather Bauersfeld for her dedicated service and leadership while on the board, and to Barbara McComber in her Leadership role on the Board.

The newly appointed Chairperson will begin her responsibilities in January 2026, and Vice-Chairperson will begin immediately.
