FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- Kahnawà:ke (Seskéha/ August 12, 2022.)
It’s corn season! Kahnawà:ke Tourism & Maison LePailleur are proud to present the 4th edition of the Corn Fest- Fête du Maïs at the Kahnawà:ke Sports Complex off the 138 highway on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, from 11am to 5pm showcasing the art, culture and food of our local people.

“We are excited to be hosting this event again in partnership with Maison LePailleur after a two-year hiatus caused by Covid-19. We hope that many visitors, near and far come out for an afternoon full of festivities” says Jordan Diabo, Tours & Events Coordinator.

“The team of Maison LePailleur is thrilled to participate in this beautiful event held by our wonderful collaborators at Kahnawà:ke Tourism. We are equally proud to offer both our communities a day and place in which we can both gather and celebrate our shared history, heritage, and culture.” says Geneviève Renaud, coordinator of the even at Maison LePailleur.

The Museum will gladly animate the corn tradition through its history and living heritage. In the spirit of the maze culture, the participants will discover unique products created specially by our local artisans for the Corn Fest and learn about their ancestral and traditional techniques.
