Shop Kahnawà:ke Winter 2022
November 21, 2022

With the holidays just around the corner, there is no better time to begin your Christmas shopping, so why not shop local and support your community businesses? The Shop Kahnawà:ke campaign was created to raise public awareness of the benefits of supporting locally-owned independent businesses and promoting local products and services to our neighboring communities. From restaurants to boutiques, shops to cafes, gyms, and convenience stores, Kahnawà:ke is bountiful with many different businesses! In fact, Shop Kahnawà:ke has over 250 businesses listed in its business directory, and the list is growing. Visit shopkahnawake.com to see the directory online.  With so many new businesses popping up every year you are sure to find everything you need right here in Kahnawà:ke!

Another part of the Shop Kahnawà:ke campaign is the gift certificates that can be purchased and used at any business participating in the Shop Kahnawà:ke First campaign. These gift certificates can be purchased at the Tewatohnhi’saktha main office and the Kahnawà:ke Welcome Center located next to the Kahnawà:ke Youth Center.

During the holiday season, Tewatohnhi’saktha hosts the annual Shop Kahnawà:ke Raffle. Where tickets are sold for $5 every Thursday for four (4) weeks in a row, customers can win a basket filled with products from local businesses valued at $500. This year, the tickets will be sold are November 17th, 24th, December 1st and 8th. The raffle draw for the basket will be held on Thursday, December 15th, at 3:00 pm.  All proceeds will be donated to the Kateri Food Basket. Shop Kahnawake Certificates will also be available to purchase in the Lobby during the Raffle sales.
