$5.5 MILLION INDIGENOUS INITIATIVES FUND IV (IIF IV) OPEN FOR KAHNAWA:KE BUSINESS PROPOSALS

IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kahnawà:ke – (2, Ohiaríha/June, 2025)

Tewatohnhi’saktha announces a call for Kahnawà:ke business proposals to access the Indigenous Initiatives Fund IV (IIF IV) through the Entrepreneurship component; established by the Secrétariat aux Affaires Autochtones Quebec (SAA). Tewatohnhi’saktha is mandated by the MCK to manage and administer the application process for the IIF IV and the SAA will carry out the final approval process and disbursement of funds.

Proposals should be more than $250,000 and must meet the application requirements. The IIF IV provides financial assistance up to 50% of the total project costs. A total of $5.5 million is accessible to the community. Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2027, or earlier if funds are fully committed. Complete applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis.

An Entrepreneurship project must target business startup, expansion or development. In addition, it must meet one or more of the following requirements: • Have a structuring effect on the Indigenous population

• Target job creation for Indigenous people
• Be economically and socially sustainable
• Increase the visibility of the Indigenous nation or community and the Indigenous population in general
• Enable the community’s development objectives to be implemented
