Sales of Shop Kahnawà:ke Certificates Soaring

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kahnawà:ke (Tsothohrhkó:wa/January 7, 2022)
Tewatohnhi’saktha is pleased to announce a total of $39,780 in Shop Kahnawà:ke Certificates were
sold this holiday season from November 17th and ending December 16th. Certificates were sold from
a number of scheduled Kiosks in our lobby and via calls to our reception services. The sales didn’t
waiver much from those of 2020; a clear indication that our community sees the value in local
spending. In fact, 2020 and 2021 both doubled the previous record sales for any given year.

Our business community continues to support the initiative and over 125 businesses accept the
certificates throughout the year. During these uncertain economic times, it is more important than
ever to shop locally and support our businesses as we continue to ride out the Covid-19 Pandemic
and move towards Economic Recovery. Shopping locally will help bring about a much brighter
future for 2022.

Only Businesses can redeem their certificates by contacting Tewatohnhi’saktha Reception Services:
Steps:
1. Contact Reception to confirm the amount you are redeeming.
2. Submit the name and address of who the cheque will be made out to.
3. Confirm a time with reception when you can stop by the lobby of the Business
Complex to drop off certificates – a receipt will be issued.
