TEWATOHNHI’SAKTHA LAUNCHES THE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY BUSINESS FUND (ICBF) II

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Kahnawà:ke (Kentenhkó:wa/January 21, 2022)
Tewatohnhi’saktha invites Kahnawa’kehró:non Business owners to apply to the Indigenous Community
Business Fund (ICBF) II. The objective of the fund is to introduce investments into the Kahnawà:ke
economy through various programs to assist Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to recover from
the pandemic and position themselves for future success. Non-Profit businesses engaged in commercial
activities may also be eligible. One business per owner is eligible. The Indigenous Community Business

Fund is made up of the following six (6) programs:
1) Digital Marketing Program
2) Workforce Initiative Program
3) Enhanced Fit-Up Program
4) Tourism Program
5) Agri-Food Production Program
6) Special Equipment / Minor Tools Program

Applications for financial assistance will be accepted between January 24, 2022 up to April 29, 2022 at
4:00 p.m. PlanIT Consulting will be accepting applications on behalf of Tewatohnhi’saktha and responding

All applications will be reviewed and approved by Tewatohnhi’saktha Business Services on a first come first
served basis, following existing policies and procedures. Applicants will receive notification of their approval
or refusal no later than May 31, 2022.
