The Caring for Our Own – Certified Nursing Aide (PAB) Training Program is now accepting applicants for the 2025–2026 cohort.
This full-time, 7-month program is designed to prepare community members for a career in healthcare, with a focus on providing compassionate, culturally grounded care to our Elders at Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre (KMHC).
Participants will complete 705 hours of classroom and clinical training through the Châteauguay Valley Career Education Center (CVCEC), with select hands-on learning components at KMHC.
Program Highlights
- Full-time, 7-month certified PAB training
- Monthly allowance provided during training
- Hands-on experience at KMHC
- Opportunity for on-the-job work experience after graduation
- Additional funding limited to 12 participants
Program Dates
- Start Date: September 10, 2025
- End Date: March/April 2026 (approx.)

- Application Questions – This section includes questions related to your interest in the program, motivation to work in healthcare, and your commitment to completing the training and potentially working at KMHC. Your responses will help us understand your readiness and alignment with the goals of the program.
- Personal Documents – Including Photo ID, Birth Certificate, Permanent Code, Proof of Education, etc.
- Resume or Work History – Including any relevant experience in caregiving or healthcare.
Selected applicants may be invited to participate in an interview or job shadowing day at KMHC as part of the selection process.
