Background – Jayme Leigh Takerennenhawi Glen has been a multi-medium artist all her life. Studying fine arts in CEGEP and graduating from Inter-Dec College with a certification in Artistic Makeup. She apprenticed at Adrenaline Tattoo for four and a half years, and completed a Tattoo Master Course before opening her own private studio.
Mission – To provide a creative and inclusive space where clients can express their individuality through culturally inspired tattoos and artwork. “I strive to honor heritage, promote self-confidence, and create meaningful connections through every artistic experience.” – Jayme Leigh Takerennenhawi Glen, Owner
What’s next – “I’d like to put a lot of my energy into expanding my clientele base, more painting productions and offering a few new products.” At Pumpkin Queen Creations, Jayme wants her clients to feel seen, heard and understood in their art/tattoo wants. She also plans to expand the in-store boutique to offer more crafts, products and merchandise.
“My Business Services Officer helped me with any information I needed to get my studio started and expanded. From financials, funding, marketing to business plans and schooling courses.”
Training and Tuition Funds
I learned about services while taking the Entrepreneurial program, they also helped to cover my tuition for my Tattoo Master Course to help further my skill levels.
Grants & Loans
I’ve accessed grants to buy mandatory furniture, products and equipment. I wouldn’t have been able to efficiently open my studio without their resources and financial help.
Self Employment Assistance Program
SEAP has helped greatly with month to month expenses and overheads while building up the foundation of my business
